Working through illness with family fun

The path to wellness is family togetherness. In conjunction with the Lions Club of District 24D, Chesapeake Regional Medical Center will offer its annual Lions Diabetes Family Camp May 2 through the 4 at the Triple R Ranch in Chesapeake.

This weekend camp is a chance for diabetic children, ages 6 to 18, and their families to gather with others dealing with the same problems. Campers will learn about managing their disease and share experiences at this fun-filled weekend.

The cost for the weekend is $160 per person for up to two family members. Cost for additional family members varies depending on the number. Each child must have a guardian present.
