Kings and queens, gnomes and fairies, Greek Gods and Goddess descended into the enchanted forest for a legendary evening and a heart-worthy cause…
The eight annual Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation’s Gala: Myths, Legends & Fairy Tales: An Evening in the Enchanted Forest was a story in the making! Over 800 of the region’s finest citizens sipped tea with the Mad Hatter, did the Cinderella Shuffle out on the dance floor, and reveled in the fun at Bacchus’ bash. Guests who adventured over the bridge and through the woods found themselves taking part in the “Off with your heads” jousting and questioned whether they were the fairest one of the night from the enchanted mirror.
With cameras snapping away, the Cast of Character’s costume contest was held with winners including the prince and princess of Alpha Corporate Designs as best group, Dr. Doug & Melissa Howerton as the Cruella de Vil best couple and Dave Jacques as Hercules! Hercules! Hercules! for best individual costume.
Thank you to our Robin Hood and Gala Chairman Robert W. “Robin” Tull, Jr. for making not only this gala, but the past three years memorable for all of us to share and enjoy. Each gala has been an enormous success because of you. We will truly miss the leader of our merry band!
Make no myth about it, we also thank every fortune teller, genie, and tall tale character who supported this event. Your participation made this year’s Gala extremely successful, netting more than $200,000 to benefit Cardiovascular Services at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center - truly a heart-felt cause.
