Eight experienced and dedicated board-certified neurologists with extensive expertise in neurological subspecialties are on staff at Chesapeake Regional. Four of those physicians, Drs. Gilbert Snider, Richard Wertheimer and Nader Atalla, are members of Chesapeake Regional Medical Group, a medical practice whose physicians practice solely for the patients at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. This partnership enables our physicians to provide patients with all the care they need in one location, offering them a greater measure of convenience, satisfaction and safety.

Dr. Richard Wertheimer, Dr. Gilbert Snider, and Dr. Nader Atalla

	Dr. Gilbert M. Snider is board-certified in both neurology and electromyography. He is an experienced lecturer and clinical professor who has particular interest in Parkinson's disease and multiple sclerosis. He is a member of the American Association of Electromyography and Electrodiagnosis.
	Dr. Richard L. Wertheimer is also board-certified in both neurology and electromyography. He has particular interest in neuromuscular diseases, including muscular dystrophy. Committed to advancing the quality of neurological care, he has held a faculty position and is a published researcher.
	Dr. Nader G. Atalla, a board-certified neurologist, was an assistant professor of neurology at Memorial University of Newfoundland in Canada prior to joining Neurological Associates of Hampton Roads.
