Chesapeake Health offers fair for expectant parents

March 23, 2004 — Chesapeake Health has scheduled its annual Baby Fair for Sunday, March 28, from 1- 4 p.m. in Chesapeake General Hospital's main lobby.

The Chesapeake Health family has made babies its business and welcomes approximately 3,000 babies into the world each year. That's more babies than any other community hospital in the area.

Designed for new, expecting and contemplating-to-be parents, the fair promises to present accurate facts about pregnancy, birth and beyond. In addition to comprehensive information, tours will be given of the hospital's BirthPlace. Hospital staff will speak on topics of interest, including anesthesia, labor and delivery, car seat safety and breastfeeding.

Several vendors will also be available to help new and soon-to-be parents learn what to expect when the bundle of joy arrives.
