R.N. named to head nursing post at CGH

Sept. 7, 2005 — Linda Burnette has been named interim vice president of professional services/chief nursing officer at Chesapeake General Hospital.

Burnette has served as unit director of CGH’s intensive care units since March 2004. Prior to joining CGH, she held multiple leadership positions in nursing at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital.

An R.N. with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Old Dominion University, Burnette also has a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Central Michigan University.
