Chesapeake Health accepts scholarship nominations
March 9, 2009 — Nominations are now being accepted for Chesapeake Health’s Roxanne E. Kemp Memorial Scholarship. It is open to Chesapeake high school students and children of Chesapeake General Hospital employees who plan to enroll in an accredited nursing degree program. Added consideration will be made for dependants of Chesapeake Health employees with at least a year of service.
The scholarship was created in memory of “Liz” Kemp, an employee of CGH for more than 25 years. She died of cancer in 2002. She last served the hospital as director of education. The purpose of this scholarship is to help nurture interest and education in nursing.
Applications are available at all Chesapeake high school guidance offices. The deadline for submission is May 1.
