Chesapeake Health announces scholarship winners

June 14, 2006 — Five applicants were chosen by the Scholarship Committee of Chesapeake General Hospital’s Auxiliary to receive a $1,000 scholarship to pursue careers in the healthcare field during the 2006-2007 school year. They are:

Danielle Nicole Gay, Rev. Paul D. Moore Scholarship. A Deep Creek High School graduate, Danielle will attend Old Dominion University. She is the daughter of Jessie R. Gay Jr. and Michelle Harper.

Heather Faith McConchie, Daisy Kessler Scholarship. Heather is a Great Bridge High School graduate who will attend The College of William and Mary. She is the daughter of Thomas and Martha McConchie.

Kiersten R. Mills, Bernice Hargrove Scholarship. A Western Branch High School graduate, Kiersten will attend The University of Virginia. She is the daughter of Glenn and Tammy Mills.

Victoria Gregory, CGHA Scholarship. Victoria is an Indian River High School graduate. The daughter of Marc and Theresa Gregory, she will attend Tidewater Community College.

Toni Morse, CGHA Scholarship. Toni, an Indian River High School graduate, will attend Ferrum College. She is the daughter of Russell and Sherri Morse.

The scholarship recipients were honored June 20 at an auxiliary banquet and installation ceremony.
