New Chesapeake Health Authority Chairman takes office July 1

July 14, 2006 – Lonnie E. Craig is the 2006-2008 chairman of the Chesapeake Hospital Authority.

He assumed the position July 1.

A former chief of the Virginia Capitol Police and Virginia Port Authority Police, Craig is a longtime active member of the board.

He is a member of the Great Bridge Masonic Lodge, the Chesapeake Rotary Club, the Virginia State Police Alumni Association, the Khedive Shrine Temple, the Chesapeake Fraternal Order of Police and the Chesapeake Alliance. Craig is also an advisory board member at Gateway Bank.
