CGH initiates valet service for patients, visitors

Valet Parking $2Aug. 1, 2007 – A valet staff that greets and provides parking assistance is now available for CGH’s patients and guests.

The service, which costs $2 a day per visit, is located at the hospital’s front main entrance. A manager will greet those interested in using the service and a valet will park the cars in a secured hospital parking lot.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer our patients this service,” noted Christopher Mosley, CEO and President of Chesapeake Health. “We want to ensure that our services are meeting all the needs of our patients and guests from the moment they walk into our doors.”

Suzanne and Frank Jordan are the first to use the new valet service.“My wife has been coming to Chesapeake General Hospital two-to-three times a week recently. Walking from the parking lot can be difficult for her. To be able to have someone park for us is a great convenience,” says Frank Jordan of Chesapeake, Virginia. Jordan and his wife, Suzanne, were the first to use the new valet service.

“This valet service is just another way we can enhance the quality of their care here at CGH,” added Wynn Dixon, Vice President of Support Operations.

The service is a partnership between CGH and Healthcare Parking Systems. The company is compliant with national hospital accreditation requirements and is dedicated to the healthcare industry. Employees are trained to know privacy and safety requirements under which hospitals adhere.

For those who choose, self parking will continue to be offered.
